Champion Updates and Adjustments

Galio and Swain Reworks

Riot Games

Galio is being brought back to his roots as a defensive powerhouse, trading burst for sustain and reliability. Swain, on the other hand, is leaning into his demonic identity with harder scaling and clearer impact during his ultimate transformation.

Marksmen Adjustments

Champions like Varus, Ashe, Zeri, Vayne, and Miss Fortune receive targeted updates to enhance survivability, mechanical expression, and damage output, especially for crit-based builds.

Voice Line Enhancements

Nine champions receive expanded voiceovers in Patch 6.2, adding more personality and emotional depth to each encounter.

Items, Enchantments & Builds

Revamped Item Identities

Key items like Bloodthirster, Infinity Edge, and Essence Reaver now offer sharper identities, catering to unique build paths like crit, burst, and lifesteal.

New Item: Soul Transfer

Designed for marksmen, this item summons a clone with each critical hit to mimic your attacks and increase pressure in fights.

Enchantment Overhaul

Enchantments are now more meaningful and class-specific. With improved stats and simplified options, players are encouraged to tailor their builds to their preferred style.

Map Changes and Early Game Tweaks

Enchanted Piggy and Magic on the Rift

A new enchanted creature roams the Baron and Dragon pits. Defeating it earns players gold, XP, and a turret-charging piglet. Magic-themed Easter eggs now appear randomly on the Rift, providing visual and strategic surprises.

Faster Early Game Progression

Turret plating now falls earlier, objectives spawn quicker, and outer turret resistance is reduced to transition players smoothly into mid-game action. This will surely stir up some drama!

Player Behavior Score System

Wild Rift introduces a Player Behavior Score to monitor conduct in-game. Positive behavior leads to exclusive rewards and access to ranked play, while negative actions reduce your score and limit progression.

Each player is placed into one of five categories based on their current score. These tiers impact what game modes they can access and how smoothly their communication tools function.

We love seeing Riot Games encouraging good players and sportsmanship!

 300–350 Points: Excellent Standing

  • Full access to all game modes and features.

  • Player Behavior Rewards are unlocked.

 260–299 Points: Good Standing

  • Most features are available.

  • Access to Legendary Ranked games is restricted.

160–259 Points: Average Standing

  • Access to Ranked and Legendary Ranked games is removed.

  • Longer cooldown times for in-game ping commands.

60–159 Points: Poor Standing

  • Restricted from Ranked, Legendary Ranked, and Normal PvP matches.

  • Increased cooldowns for in-game pings and chat messages.

0–59 Points: Very Poor Standing

  • Only Co-op vs. AI and Custom matches are available.

  • Chat functionality is disabled.

  • In-game ping cooldowns are significantly longer.

Improving one’s score is possible through consistent, violation-free gameplay. The number of points earned per match depends on the player’s current tier:

  • 300–350 Points: +1 point per game without any violations.
  • 260–299 Points: +10 points per game without violations.
  • 160–259 Points: +5 points per game without violations.
  • 60–159 Points: +5 points per game without violations.
  • 0–59 Points: +5 points per game without violations.

The system encourages better behavior by awarding more points in lower tiers, helping players climb back to a better standing faster, so long as they maintain a clean record.

Ranked Mode and Progression

Players can now progress in both Ranked and Legendary Queues simultaneously. Grandmaster rank is divided into three tiers for more manageable progression. A new ranked skin for Galio also debuts this patch.

Events and Soul Force System

Aurora’s themed event brings challenges and rewards, including a chance to unlock her magical skin. The Soul Force system introduces a new UI and mechanics that let players level up and earn goodies as they progress.

ARAM Updates and Ultimate Spellbook Mode

ARAM receives a magical visual overhaul. Players can now select ultimate abilities before the game and re-roll them during matches. New cards and animal archetypes add further customization and flair.
